지속 가능한 컬렉션을 제작하기 위해서 먼저 작은 부분에 변화를 주면 큰 결과를 이끌어 낼 수 있습니다. 예를 들면, 부드러운 감촉과 우수한 통기성, 그리고 견고한 내구성의 저지 소재로 티셔츠, 탑, 스웻셔츠, 언더웨어와 같은 데일리 에센셜 아이템을 제작하는 것입니다. 이와 같이 저지 소재를 베이직 아이템을 제작하는 데 사용하면 간단하지만 효과적으로 지속가능성을 실천할 수 있습니다. 그래서 COS는 가장 우수한 퀄리티의 저지 소재를 제작하기 위해 오랜 시간 동안 많은 노력을 기울였고, 아름다운 풍경이 돋보이는 포르투갈 미뉴(Minho) 지역의 저지 전문 업체 발레리우스(Valérius)와 협업을 진행하게 되었습니다. 발레리우스는 2009년부터 COS와 협업을 시작하여 평등, 지속가능성과 그리고 혁신에 대한 같은 가치를 공유했고, 이를 바탕으로 두 기업은 좋은 파트너십을 맺으며 시너지 효과를 내왔습니다. 발레리우스 CEO 호세 마누엘 빌라스 보아스 페레이라(José Manuel Vilas Boas Ferreira)는 파트너십에 대해 다음과 같이 생각을 밝혔습니다. ‘발레리우스와 COS는 같은 비전을 공유한다고 생각해요.
